Welcome to 2021!  It is hard to believe that another year has passed.  Last year was unforgettable in so many ways.  Recently, my family has enjoyed thinking back on all of God’s blessings in 2020.  While it is tempting (and easy) to focus on all of the disappointments of 2020, it is far better to reflect on the unique ways in which God blessed you last year. 

December was a busy month for FBM.  First, we are excited to announce that we have welcomed a new couple into the FBM family.  Dean & Sylvia Hebron were approved as FBM missionaries last month.  In 2003, Dean & Sylvia began serving at the Walter Gomez Seminary in Pachuca, Mexico.  Today, Dean continues to teach at the seminary remotely from their home in Virginia.  We praise God for the opportunity to serve alongside Dean & Sylvia. 

Additionally, in December, we launched a new website.  We believe this website will be a valuable tool that will help us accomplish our vision of being the World Leader in Missionary Care.  Visit our website today and learn how FBM can partner with you to obey God’s call on your life.  

In just a few weeks, Koku & Akpene Akakpo will be leaving Illinois for Togo, West Africa.  They are busy packing a container and making final preparations for their departure.  It has been exciting to watch God provide for them as they make this transition.  Please pray for us as we help them load a container here in Florida.  Pray also that their transition will be smooth and that God will accomplish much through them in Togo.

Many of you sent in gifts to our West Africa Relief Fund in response to the flooding in Niger that occurred in 2020.  Thank you so much for your generosity.  Our Niger Field Director, Tim Phillips, has been busy putting those funds to work and meeting the needs of those affected by the flooding.  In the coming months, look for a report from us on how we have been able to use those funds. If you still would like to give to the West Africa Relief Fund please go to here and in the designation put “WARF”.

As we enter 2021, let us rejoice at all that God has done.  Let us also anticipate, with faith and hope, all that God will do in the days ahead.  Thank you so much for your love and concern for our missionaries.  Please let us know if we can serve you in any way.  May God richly bless you.
