Soul Care

Focus: Your personal walk and sustainable habits (Spheres 1 & 2).
1. IDENTITY: I am maintaining a renewing relationship with God, finding my identity in being His child rather than just His worker.
2. SELF-MANAGEMENT: I am actively monitoring my own needs (rest, personal development, health) and taking responsibility for my well-being.
3. SPIRITUAL RHYTHMS: I have the time and space necessary to practice spiritual disciplines (prayer, worship) that help me run with endurance.

Mutual Care

Focus: The Flow of Community within your team and host culture (Sphere 2).
4. TEAM SUPPORT: I have access to supportive, accountable relationships with colleagues/peers where I can receive encouragement and correction.
5. HOST CONNECTIONS: I am successfully building mutually supportive relationships with nationals/locals in my host culture to help me adjust and grow.
6. CONFLICT RESOLUTION: There are clear, healthy avenues for resolving interpersonal friction within my team or family unit.

Sender & Specialist Support

Focus: FBM’s commitment to you and access to tools (Spheres 3 & 4).
7. GENERAL SUPPORT: The support I receive from FBM effectively meets the needs of my current season (e.g., first term, mid-career, pre-retirement).
8. SENDING CHURCH: The support I receive from my sending church effectively meets the needs of my current season (e.g., first term, mid-career, pre-retirement).
9. FAMILY & MKs I feel supported regarding my family life (marriage/parenting) and the educational needs of my children (if applicable).
10. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: I have access to the training or career development tools I need to sharpen my ministry skills.
11. FINANCIAL HEALTH: I feel equipped and supported regarding my financial support raising, maintenance, and logistics.

Communication, Crisis & Transitions

Focus: Responsiveness and contingency planning (Sphere 4).
12. TRANSITIONS: FBM stays engaged and helpful during key transitions (arrival, furlough, re-entry).
13. ACCESS: I know exactly who to contact for care needs, and I feel comfortable initiating that contact.
14. CRISIS TRUST: I trust that I would receive timely and competent support (medical, security, or pychological) in the event of a crisis.
