The Darlings’ Mission

The Darlings desire is to see Christ made preeminent in the lives of Spaniards (Col. 1:15-20). They will strive to daily reach this goal through evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and theological education.

Evangelism

The Darlings will evangelize through personal contact with Spaniards by having them in their home for meals, tract distribution, Bible studies, and evangelistic meetings.

Discipleship

They will disciple by helping individuals to make Christ preeminent in their lives. They will disciple informally by modeling Christ’s preeminence in their personal lives and formally by offering personal Bible studies, group Bible studies, and Biblical counseling.

Church Planting

The Darlings will plant a Baptist church with the individuals who have been evangelized and discipled.

Theological Education

They will train theologically those who will not only take over the leadership of the church, but will establish other churches in Spain and around the world so that Christ will be preeminent.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Biographical Information

Daniel –

Daniel grew up on the mission field in Venezuela, South America. His parents always shared the gospel in their church plant. When he was four years old, he heard a series of messages on hell, and realized he needed a Savior. That evening, he went into his parent’s bedroom and asked how he could be saved from his sins. Daniel’s mom explained that he must put his faith in Jesus Christ’s work on the cross as a substitute for him. That evening, Daniel put his faith in Christ’s work on the Cross. Daniel was baptized at Needham’s Grove Baptist Church. Daniel was translating for a mission’s team in Venezuela and realized that he had a burden to help those who had accepted Christ as their Savior to be discipled and grow in their relationship with Christ. Daniel has been able to earn degrees in Biblical Studies and Biblical Theology. While at Bible college, Daniel met his beautiful wife, and was married in 2005. God has given them three children that are blessings from the Lord.

Karrah –

Karrah accepted Christ as her personal Savior when she was 11 years old. She had grown up hearing the gospel preached, and had tried to conform her outer person to act like a “Christian.” The Holy Spirit convicted her of her hypocrisy and lack of faith in Christ’s substitutionary work on the Cross. She was in a Christian Bookstore parking lot when she surrendered to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and put her faith in the work of Christ alone to cleanse her of her sins and bring her into a relationship with God. When she was 17, God used her volleyball coach to challenge her thoughts about what life should be. He drilled into her that her life was not her own, she was bought with a price, and her life was owed to God for whatever He chose to do with her. She surrendered her life, and went to Piedmont Baptist College to prepare to serve the Lord however He would use her. She met Daniel in college, and they both had a desire to serve the Lord wherever He led. They were married in 2005. God blessed them with three children, Hannah, Isabella, and Liev. Karrah is thankful for the privilege of being a mom to the three best kiddos and serving the Lord alongside Daniel, in every capacity God allows.

The Darling Family –

Daniel and Karrah, along with their three children, have been able to serve as missionaries from 2006 to 2016 in Venezuela and Spain. In 2016, Daniel desired further education and experience in pastoring a church. God led him to pastor a church in Texas from 2016 until 2023. As Daniel finished his degrees, they took a mission’s trip back to Spain to help a church plant, and God made it clear to their family that He was calling them to go back to Spain to plant churches in the towns that have no gospel witness. On the mission’s trip, someone got saved, but there is no church in her town for her to be in fellowship with other believers or to sit under God’s Word being preached. The Darlings knew it was time to go back to Spain to preach Christ, see the lost evangelized, the saved discipled, and plant churches that make Christ preeminent. They were sent out by Needham’s Grove Baptist Church in May 2023 and joined Faith Baptist Mission in Winter Haven, FL.
