Dear Friends,
Greetings from Central Florida. I trust that you had a joyful Christmas season and are starting the new year well. I enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with my family. There was lots of food, fellowship with friends and extended family, and playing the game, Catan. One challenge we faced was the cooler temperatures. Here in Florida, temperatures reached into the 30s on Christmas day! It was very cold for us native Floridians!
The new year provides a wonderful time for reflection. It is a time to think back on what God has done. God did some amazing things through FBM in 2022! He used FBM to continue training men and women for ministry. He allowed us to care for the hurting and the abandoned. He used us to encourage missionaries throughout the world. He provided abundantly for FBM and its missionaries. Last year was an incredible year.
The new year also provides an opportunity for us to look ahead at the opportunities that are before us. Lord willing, this year we will make significant progress at developing a large property in Central Benin. We hope to send out multiple mission teams in 2023. In short, we pray that we will continue fulfilling our mission to Glorify God by obeying the Great Commission and caring for those we serve.
The reality is that you played a large part in all that God did through us in 2022 and you play a large part in what God will do in the coming year. This is why I often use the word “partner.” You truly are “partners in the Gospel” with us. Your financial gifts and prayer support enable us to continue to do the work God has called us to. I hope that you truly grasp the vital role that you play in this partnership.
Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel. May God richly bless you in 2023.
