In 2 Chronicles 14:11 we read an interesting verse. There, King Asa cries to God and says,
“O Lord, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. O Lord, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.” (ESV)
We have prayed similar words these past few weeks. We have cried out “Lord – there is none like you to help! We rely on you!”
Many of you have already seen the email update that I sent out on October 14. Our families in Benin were suddenly evacuated from the North to another part of the country. It was a whirlwind of events. While in many ways, these events were difficult beyond imagination, we still rejoice at what God has done. Our missionaries bore witness of Christ to the highest levels of the Benin government.
As you can imagine, the future of our work in Benin is uncertain. But, we rely on God! The future is never uncertain to Him. It is completely in his control. He has created the future. Please pray for our missionaries in Benin. Pray for clear direction and guidance. Please pray for the national believers who remain in the North. Pray that God would strengthen them and equip them to continue the ministries in Northern Benin.

Missionary Spotlight!
This month, I want to highlight a new prayer initiative that I have recently been made aware of. In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” I have recently been challenged to set an alarm on my phone for 9:38am and 9:38pm each day. When those alarms go off, I stop whatever I am doing and pray that God would send more laborers into His harvest. Will you join me in doing this? Together, let’s commit to praying at 9:38 each day!
